We got tired of spreadsheets.
So we built something better — a tool that tracks your money automatically, understands your spending, and answers your questions in plain English.
Our story
Finease started because the founder couldn't answer a simple question: "Where does my salary actually go every month?" After trying four different apps — all of which required sharing bank passwords or didn't support Nigerian banks — he gave up and built a spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet worked. For about three months. Then it became too much work to maintain, and the data went stale. He tried again with a different app. Same story.
The insight came from something obvious: every bank already sends an email alert for every transaction. That email contains everything — amount, merchant, date, balance. What if you just forwarded those emails somewhere smart?
That question became Finease. We built the parsing engine, then the dashboard, then the AI assistant that lets you ask your money questions like you'd ask a CFO. Today, users across Nigeria, Ghana, and the USA use Finease to track every naira, cedi, and dollar automatically — without ever sharing a bank password.

Most personal finance apps are built for one currency and one country. We started in Nigeria and built multi-currency support into the foundation — not as an afterthought.
